Explain shipping charges, preparation time and delivery choices before customers reach the final payment step.
Even an interested shopper may hesitate when total cost and delivery arrangements are unclear. Shipping information should be understandable where the purchase decision happens, not only inside a long policy page.
Separate preparation from transit
Preparing an order and transporting it are different stages. Showing transit time alone for a made-to-order item can create false expectations. Explain the process rather than promising an unverified arrival date.
Make charges understandable
You may use a flat fee, a basket threshold or location-based calculation. Explain the rule on product or basket screens. If free shipping has exceptions, name the excluded products or areas.
Test addresses and delivery choices
Try different locations and postal codes. Unsupported destinations should be identified before payment. If collection is available, distinguish its address and conditions from courier delivery.
Learn from support questions
Repeated shipping questions may indicate information is hard to find. Group them and add answers to the appropriate product, basket or help section. Update content when operations change; an outdated free-shipping message can create avoidable disputes.
