Check forms, links, mobile navigation, content, administrator access and backups before declaring a website ready to launch.

Launch readiness requires more than design approval. Customer tasks and staff operations should both work. A checklist makes responsibility and verification visible.

Test customer tasks

Navigate from the homepage to a service, request a quote and try the phone link. For a store, complete a test order. Include missing fields, incorrect details and failed actions instead of testing only the ideal path.

Inspect content and links

Remove sample copy, outdated phone numbers and missing images. Open menu, footer and article links. Confirm that buttons leading to the same destination behave consistently. Removed pages should have a useful error response.

Test management access

Create, edit and delete a clearly marked test record. Where roles differ, check that each can access only the required areas. Remove only the records created for testing afterwards.

Plan the launch itself

Record where file and database backups are stored, who is responsible and how rollback works. Check site addresses when a domain changes. Repeat the essential tasks on the live environment after launch; local success alone is insufficient.
