Clarifying five questions before design begins makes the entire project easier.
Define the purpose of the site first
A website's success is not measured by appearance alone. Write down which visitor questions it should answer and what action you want them to take. Quotes, product sales and appointments require different page flows.
Prepare content early
Your service list, accurate contact details, brand files and images you have permission to use are core project inputs. Missing content can cause frequent changes during design.
Choose which areas need management
Decide who will update regularly changing areas such as the blog, portfolio and services. Avoid complicating the dashboard with features you do not need.
List your integrations
Share your CRM, payment, shipping and appointment tools at the start. Each integration needs separate assessment of its data flow, failure scenarios and usage costs.
Write acceptance criteria together
Define concrete checks for mobile menus, form delivery, content and the dashboard. This gives both parties a shared understanding of launch readiness.
